Evidence-based validation programs allow learners to progress through three distinct levels of certification: Foundational, Advanced and Expert.

Management Certificate Programs

Management Certificate Programs (MCPs) create an environment where sales, service and marketing managers can learn with and from fellow managers in similar roles across their region.

The 10-month program was developed in partnership with Rutgers University and with input from Caterpillar experts to cover relevant topics for developing and refining key skills necessary for management roles.

Participants invest about 80 hours (two hours each week) in online course work, interactive webinars led by Rutgers University and a team project.

Dealer Performance Center

There's a lot to track when it comes to learning: individual learning plans, workforce learning and development, online training records, class registrations and more. No matter the task, the Dealer Performance Center (DPC) is a simple solution. It's one platform for access to, completion and tracking of all Caterpillar learning.

The DPC requires an active Caterpillar Corporate Web Security Identification (CWS ID) and registration to a DPC campus. Visit the DPC to find:

  • Unlimited access to hundreds of web-based courses
  • Unlimited access to instructor-led course registration
  • Sales and Service support and resource materials
  • Tools to manage both individual learning plans and the learning and development of your entire workforce

Learning Marketplace

Our Learning Marketplace offers engaging and relevant training on topics including leadership and management, soft skills, safety and more.

Many courses are available in additional languages — French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, simplified Chinese and Spanish.

Learning Marketplace courses are available at no additional cost to Cat® dealers and can be accessed via the Premium Packages link on the Dealer Performance Center.

Dealer Excellence Fund

Supporting a technical school in your community is an investment in developing a future workforce that will benefit your customers, your dealership and Caterpillar.

The Caterpillar Dealer Excellence Fund Program (DEF) makes your contribution go even further. The "matching grant" program was created with two objectives:

  • To strengthen the available technical curriculum and faculty development of the sponsored schools
  • To help increase the overall pool of qualified heavy-duty service technicians in the industry

When you make a gift to an eligible secondary or post-secondary school and submit a matching grant application, the Caterpillar Foundation will award the school an additional gift in the amount of your original gift, up to $10,000.

Dealer Environmental Sustainability Fund

To promote environmental sustainability around the world and recognize your commitment to sustainability, the Caterpillar Dealer Environmental Sustainability Fund (DESF) will match grants from Cat dealers to eligible not-for-profit environmental sustainability organizations.

Simply identify and partner with an eligible environmental sustainability organization and make a gift award in any amount. Then, submit a matching grant application. The Caterpillar Foundation will award the organization an additional gift in the amount of your original gift, between $5,000 and $15,000.

Before the Workshop, participants read a short parable in book format called "The Orange Frog." Then, during the Workshop, participants learn seven core principles of the science of happiness and discover how to infuse positive practices into their personal habits and organizational culture.

After the Workshop, participants develop personal and team action plans to start the transformation process. They also naturally share what they learned with co-workers, creating a "rippling" effect across your team and the broader organization.

The two-day workshop is ideal for individuals and leaders at any level. Organizations who have been through the training report that it's helpful to bring intact teams.
